Dr. Jill Williams is a professor at the University of Arizona and a feminist political geographer. Dr.Williams research explores how State actors and agencies negotiate shifting national and transnational responsibilities and the implications these negotiations have for differently situated populations. Since 2007, her research has addressed these issues through the lens of contemporary border and immigration enforcement policies, primarily in the US southwest. Dr. Williams is also the director of WISE (Women in Science and Engineering). We will be learning about the challenges that women face in the sciences and programs that are available that can support women through these challenges.
Further, there will be a doctors panel with two physicians Dr. Juneman and Dr. Partha. Dr. Juneman is a an associate Professor of Medicine, UA Sarver Heart Center. Dr. Indu Partha is an internst.
