Dr. Mary Alt is a professor at the University of Arizona  in the college of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and the director of the L4 lab: Lexicon, Literacy, Language, and Learning Lab. Dr. Alt's "area of research is pediatric receptive language, with a focus on semantic skills of children with SL.I" Dr. Alt will be sharing her journey into academics and how it felt being a woman pursuing a career in science.
